Blood Donation Camp 2025: The Future Scholars’ Welfare Trust’s First Blood Donation Initiative
“Sometimes the Almighty chooses to accomplish His work through human hands, making us mere instruments of a greater purpose.”
The idea of organising a blood donation camp originated among the members of The Future Scholars’ Welfare Trust, and on 21st December 2025, that idea finally reached its destination. While blood donation camps have been organised across the world for many years and are not, in themselves, unique, this particular camp held a very special significance for us. It marked the first-ever blood donation camp organised by The Future Scholars’ Welfare Trust, making the occasion both memorable and meaningful.
The initiative was not simply about organising a blood donation drive; it was about encouraging people to come forward, overcome their hesitation and contribute towards the welfare of society. In this regard, the camp became an important step in the Trust’s journey of community service, social responsibility and humanitarian welfare.
A Beginning Marked by First-Time Donors
What made this Blood Donation Camp 2025 truly remarkable was the fact that a majority of the donors were first-time blood donors. Encouraging individuals to overcome fear and hesitation and come forward to donate blood for the welfare of society is no small achievement.
For many people, donating blood for the first time can be accompanied by uncertainty or apprehension. Seeing so many first-time contributors participate in the camp therefore made the occasion even more meaningful. Their willingness to take that first step reflected the power of encouragement, awareness and collective responsibility.
As the saying goes, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
This success was possible only because of the unwavering dedication and collective effort of all the members of The Future Scholars’ Welfare Trust, who worked tirelessly over the past two months to transform this vision into reality.
The Power of Teamwork
The camp was a shining example of teamwork and collective effort:
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.”
Every member contributed selflessly to the initiative. From the initial idea to the final execution, the preparation required patience, coordination and commitment. The combined efforts of the Trust members ultimately culminated in the successful organisation of its first blood donation camp.
The event reminded us that meaningful social initiatives do not necessarily begin with extraordinary resources. They can begin with an idea, a shared purpose and a group of people willing to work together for something larger than themselves.
Distinguished Guests and Well-Wishers
The occasion was graced by distinguished guests, including Dr. Gargi Mukhopadhyay from the Department of Bengali, Rishi Bankim Chandra College for Women; my parents, Shri Jashwant Singh and Smt. Jogindar Kaur; Shri Kanailal Acharya, President of Rishi Bankim Chandra Evening College, Naihati; and Prof. Durjoy Roy from the Department of Electronics, Rishi Bankim Chandra College, Naihati.
Prof. Durjoy Roy has been a chief motivator throughout this journey, offering encouragement and inspiration to the members of the Trust. The presence of all our respected guests and well-wishers added warmth, encouragement and dignity to the blood donation camp.
Their support made the occasion even more special and reinforced the importance of coming together for a meaningful social cause.
A Promise for the Future
Adding a touch of innocence and hope to the occasion was one of our youngest stars, Prof. Durjoy Roy’s daughter, who joined us at the camp.
Her presence reminded us that:
“The future belongs to those who prepare for it today.”
Although she is not yet old enough to donate blood, she took an oath that she would donate blood someday. That simple promise beautifully symbolised the spirit of compassion, responsibility and service that we hope to nurture in future generations.
A blood donation camp is not only about the act of donating blood on a particular day. It can also be an opportunity to introduce younger generations to the values of empathy, community service and responsibility towards society.
More Than Just an Event
In the end, the Blood Donation Camp organised by The Future Scholars’ Welfare Trust on 21st December 2025 was not merely an event—it was a testament to faith, teamwork and the belief that small acts of kindness, when done collectively, can create a lasting impact on society.
It was the Trust’s first step towards organising such an initiative, the result of two months of dedication and teamwork, and a memorable experience made even more meaningful by the participation of so many first-time blood donors.
Every donor, every volunteer, every Trust member and every well-wisher who contributed to the occasion became a part of this journey.
Perhaps that is the greatest lesson this camp left us with: when people come together with faith, compassion and a shared purpose, even a small idea can become a meaningful contribution to society.
রক্তদান শিবির ২০২৫: দ্য ফিউচার স্কলার্স’ ওয়েলফেয়ার ট্রাস্টের একটি অর্থবহ উদ্যোগ
“কখনো কখনো সর্বশক্তিমান তাঁর কাজ সম্পন্ন করার জন্য মানুষের হাতকে বেছে নেন, এবং আমাদের এক মহৎ উদ্দেশ্যের নিছক হাতিয়ারে পরিণত করেন।”
রক্তদান শিবির আয়োজনের ভাবনাটি প্রথমে আমাদের দ্য ফিউচার স্কলার্স’ ওয়েলফেয়ার ট্রাস্টের সদস্যদের মধ্যেই জন্ম নিয়েছিল, এবং ২০২৫ সালের ২১শে ডিসেম্বর সেই ভাবনাটি অবশেষে তার গন্তব্যে পৌঁছায়।
যদিও সারা বিশ্বে বহু বছর ধরে রক্তদান শিবির আয়োজিত হয়ে আসছে এবং এগুলো নিজে থেকে কোনো অনন্য ঘটনা নয়, তবুও এই শিবিরটি আমাদের জন্য একটি বিশেষ তাৎপর্য বহন করেছিল। কারণ এটি ছিল দ্য ফিউচার স্কলার্স’ ওয়েলফেয়ার ট্রাস্ট কর্তৃক আয়োজিত প্রথম রক্তদান শিবির। সেই কারণেই এই অনুষ্ঠানটি আমাদের কাছে স্মরণীয় এবং অর্থবহ হয়ে উঠেছিল।
এই উদ্যোগটি শুধুমাত্র একটি রক্তদান শিবির আয়োজনের মধ্যে সীমাবদ্ধ ছিল না। এর মাধ্যমে মানুষকে উৎসাহিত করা, দ্বিধা ও ভয় কাটিয়ে রক্তদানে এগিয়ে আসতে অনুপ্রাণিত করা এবং সমাজের কল্যাণে অংশগ্রহণের সুযোগ তৈরি করাই ছিল এর অন্যতম উদ্দেশ্য।
প্রথমবারের রক্তদাতাদের অংশগ্রহণ
এই উদ্যোগটিকে যা সত্যিই অসাধারণ করে তুলেছিল তা হলো, অধিকাংশ রক্তদাতাই ছিলেন প্রথমবারের রক্তদাতা।
ভয় এবং দ্বিধা কাটিয়ে সমাজের কল্যাণে রক্তদান করার জন্য মানুষকে উৎসাহিত করা কোনো ছোটখাটো অর্জন নয়। প্রথমবার রক্তদানকারীদের অংশগ্রহণ আমাদের কাছে বিশেষভাবে আনন্দের এবং গর্বের বিষয় ছিল।
যেমনটি বলা হয়, “নিজেকে খুঁজে পাওয়ার সেরা উপায় হলো অন্যের সেবায় নিজেকে বিলিয়ে দেওয়া।”
এই সাফল্য সম্ভব হয়েছিল শুধুমাত্র ট্রাস্টের সকল সদস্যের অবিচল নিষ্ঠা এবং সম্মিলিত প্রচেষ্টার কারণে। তাঁরা গত দুই মাস ধরে অক্লান্ত পরিশ্রম করে এই ভাবনাকে বাস্তবে রূপ দিয়েছেন।
দলবদ্ধ প্রচেষ্টার সাফল্য
শিবিরটি ছিল দলবদ্ধ কাজের এক উজ্জ্বল দৃষ্টান্ত—
“একা আমরা খুব সামান্যই করতে পারি; একসঙ্গে আমরা অনেক কিছু করতে পারি।”
প্রত্যেক সদস্য নিঃস্বার্থভাবে এই উদ্যোগে অবদান রেখেছেন। প্রাথমিক ভাবনা থেকে শুরু করে আয়োজনের শেষ মুহূর্ত পর্যন্ত সকলের সম্মিলিত প্রচেষ্টা এই প্রথম রক্তদান শিবিরকে সফল করে তুলেছিল।
এই উদ্যোগ আমাদের মনে করিয়ে দিয়েছে যে সমাজসেবামূলক কাজ সবসময় বড় কোনো পরিকল্পনা দিয়ে শুরু হতে হয় না। একটি ছোট্ট ভাবনা, একটি মহৎ উদ্দেশ্য এবং একদল মানুষের সম্মিলিত প্রচেষ্টাই অনেক সময় একটি অর্থবহ উদ্যোগের জন্ম দিতে পারে।
বিশিষ্ট অতিথিদের উপস্থিতি
এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন বিশিষ্ট অতিথিবৃন্দ, যাঁদের মধ্যে ছিলেন ঋষি বঙ্কিমচন্দ্র মহিলা কলেজের বাংলা বিভাগের ডঃ গার্গী মুখোপাধ্যায়; আমার বাবা-মা শ্রী যশবন্ত সিং ও শ্রীমতী যোগিন্দর কৌর; নৈহাটির ঋষি বঙ্কিমচন্দ্র ইভনিং কলেজের সভাপতি শ্রী কানাইলাল আচার্য এবং নৈহাটির ঋষি বঙ্কিমচন্দ্র কলেজের ইলেকট্রনিক্স বিভাগের অধ্যাপক দুরজয় রায়।
অধ্যাপক দুরজয় রায় শুরু থেকেই এই উদ্যোগের প্রধান প্রেরণাদাতা হিসেবে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করেছেন। তাঁর উৎসাহ ও অনুপ্রেরণা আমাদের এই উদ্যোগকে বাস্তবায়নের পথে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যেতে সাহায্য করেছে।
সমস্ত সম্মানিত অতিথি এবং শুভানুধ্যায়ীদের উপস্থিতি অনুষ্ঠানটিতে উষ্ণতা, উৎসাহ এবং মর্যাদা যোগ করেছিল।
ভবিষ্যতের জন্য একটি অঙ্গীকার
অনুষ্ঠানটিতে নিষ্পাপতা ও আশার ছোঁয়া যোগ করেছিল আমাদের অন্যতম কনিষ্ঠ তারকা, অধ্যাপক দুরজয় রায়ের কন্যা, যে শিবিরে আমাদের সঙ্গে যোগ দিয়েছিল।
তার উপস্থিতি আমাদের মনে করিয়ে দেয়—
“ভবিষ্যৎ তাদেরই, যারা আজকের জন্য প্রস্তুতি নেয়।”
একদিন রক্তদান করবে বলে শপথ নিয়ে সে সহানুভূতি, মানবিকতা এবং দায়িত্ববোধের সেই চেতনার প্রতীক হয়ে উঠেছিল, যা আমরা ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্মের মধ্যে লালন করতে চাই।
একটি রক্তদান শিবির তাই শুধুমাত্র একটি দিনের রক্তদানের কর্মসূচি নয়। এটি ভবিষ্যৎ প্রজন্মের মধ্যেও সমাজসেবা, সহমর্মিতা এবং দায়িত্ববোধের মূল্যবোধ গড়ে তোলার একটি সুযোগ।
শুধু একটি অনুষ্ঠান নয়
পরিশেষে, ২১শে ডিসেম্বর ২০২৫ তারিখে দ্য ফিউচার স্কলার্স’ ওয়েলফেয়ার ট্রাস্টের আয়োজিত রক্তদান শিবিরটি কেবল একটি অনুষ্ঠান ছিল না—এটি ছিল বিশ্বাস, দলবদ্ধ প্রচেষ্টা এবং এই বিশ্বাসের একটি প্রমাণ যে ছোট ছোট দয়ার কাজগুলো সম্মিলিতভাবে করলে তা সমাজে একটি দীর্ঘস্থায়ী প্রভাব ফেলতে পারে।
এটি ছিল ট্রাস্টের প্রথম এমন উদ্যোগ, দুই মাসের অক্লান্ত পরিশ্রমের ফল এবং বহু প্রথমবারের রক্তদাতার জন্য একটি স্মরণীয় অভিজ্ঞতা।
প্রত্যেক রক্তদাতা, প্রত্যেক স্বেচ্ছাসেবক, ট্রাস্টের প্রত্যেক সদস্য এবং প্রত্যেক শুভানুধ্যায়ী এই যাত্রার একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ অংশ হয়ে উঠেছিলেন।
এই শিবির আমাদের হয়তো সবচেয়ে বড় যে শিক্ষা দিয়েছে তা হলো—বিশ্বাস, সহমর্মিতা এবং একটি অভিন্ন উদ্দেশ্য নিয়ে মানুষ একসঙ্গে এগিয়ে এলে একটি ছোট্ট ভাবনাও সমাজের জন্য একটি অর্থবহ অবদানে পরিণত হতে পারে।
